The tour tells you about the brewing process; the tasting room is where you get to try 3 different beers and take home your very own tasting glass. Definitely ride the tricked out party trolley to Doyle's Pub for $5 drafts of Sam and keep the glass.
Harpoon Brewery Tours - Everyone thinks of Sam Adams as the Boston beer, but Harpoon has some amazing alcoholic beverages too! And they now have a beer hall, fashioned after those in Germany. You have to try the pretzels with dipping sauces - life-changing!
